New Leaf Community Garden is open to the public during daylight hours through our front entrance off Salbide Ave in downtown Newnan. Our garden is well into our sixthyear with all parts of the garden being fully functional. Below you will find what makes our community garden unique and have an overview on the major parts of the garden. Schedule a tour so you can see this in person!

Raised Bed Gardens
Goal: To ensure each Raised Bed Gardener is engaged with their plots, fully committed, taking pride and ownership, enhancing relationships with neighboring gardeners and embracing the goals of the community garden as a whole.
We currently have 39 plots. We have been happy with our partnerships within the raised bed community. These partnerships include individuals, churches, local businesses and other non-profits in the community. The raised bed gardeners are active members and not only maintain their own plots but also have to option to help in the other parts of the garden. They abide by organic standards. Our raised bed gardeners include everyone and anyone from the community from new gardeners first learning, to master gardeners and experienced farmers. This part of the garden demonstrates one way to garden using 4ftx8ft cedar wood raised boxes. Gardeners can choose whatever they would like to grow and it ranges from flowers to herbs to vegetables.

To continue the success of harvesting fresh high quality produce for the purpose of feeding and educating the marginalized, therefore creating transformation of wellbeing in our community.
During the busy season, we harvest daily and that produce gets delivered to local food banks and ministries. In our first few years we have been able to donate thousands of pounds of produce to help the needy in our community. This is one of the very reasons why New Leaf Community Garden was founded.
